Summer Picnic anyone?

Anybody in Iowa, Minn. or Neb. up for a picnic? I checked out the shelter houses below the dam at Saylorvill for a posible site, looks good. they have sand volly ball courts and a lot of open space for frisbys or anything else.
I talked to Jeff and he will be coming down to Ames to see friends in July sometime, he'll let me know a date, so I'd like to plan it so he could make it to the picnic. If you have any other sites in mind let me know

Hi Jeff, as you can see there hasn't been anyone responding to the picnic, I did notice that Tom and Joy posted of the Insider, but are not for sure. I hope some of the Ia. group chime in here soon. Its shelter house #1 or #2 below the dam at Saylorville. They are first come, firt serve if not reserved. I'll check on Monday if they are taken.

I sent out an e-mail a few days ago to the chapter. I say if we don't get any response or more RSVP's by Wednesday we should consider changing the date.

Thats great Mike, that's 5 people for sure and 2 possible, (Joy and Tom). I e-mailed a new smart owner in Indianola tonight about the picnic and Joe knows a couple of smarts there, so he may get them to come also. See you and Cindy there.

I checked on the shelters and Saylorville is all booked up, but Big Creek has shelters open. There is a $25 res. fee at Big Creek, there is a big grill but no
electric. I look on the web site for availability and then took a run out to the lake to check them out. Shelter "E", for Ensign, looks good with a nice view of the lake. Just drive up the east side of the lake and watch for the sign for Ensign shelter. We could all meet in Polk City like we did for the April
rally and then caravan out to the lake. Let me know what you think.
