Well worth the trip (from Ohio in my case.) Jeff did a superb job organizing this and was lucky enough to get some sponsored goodie bags, as well a a few items from SCOA, to hand out as door prizes. 17 smarts heading down I-35 did get a lot of looks, and the Sonic crowd enjoyed the gathering as well.

Thanks again to Jeff and Larry for the 25 cent tour of Ames and some great barbecue, and to GOT MPG for driving along with me on I-80 headed back East.

Enjoyed meeting everyone and look forward to doing it again.

Thanks jefferios for the pics and organizing a great rally! Hope we didn't cause any accidents with the serious rubberneckin' along the way. I had a great time meeting everyone and look forward to our next rally. I set my Area451 cruise control for the ride home and jwight followed me, until he decided to check out one of Iowa's fabulou$ re$t $top$.

Looks like you guys and gals had a lot of fun. Hats off to your organizers for putting it all together! It's a lot of work, but it's definitely worth it!

Thanks for posting the pics, too. Wish you all had held up signs identifying who are!

This gives me the idea to try to hook up our Smartians with YOU, maybe for a regional event, say, in the Spring. I would KILL (figure of speech!) to get 100 Midwest Smarts in the same place! So far, our biggest event brought out about 33 cars, but more typically we have 6-10. With enough advance promotion, I bet we could get a LOT of people interested, in many places!

KC? Iowa? Nebraska? Illinois? Indiana? Ohio? Hmmmmm... This is just thinking out loud at this point, but what do you think? Any interest?

BTW, I invite you to visit the Kansas City Chapter/Region pages. Our band of loonies has LOTS of fun! Maybe we're related?
