is it worth the wait?

I am excited about getting my smart but since the wait is over 16 months it will be next Sept - Oct before I get mine. I would just like to get some feedback from owners if they feel that the wait is worth it?

Or if you're like me, I couldn't wait, get an orphan.

The smart is the funnest car I have ever driven and the easiest to park. Wouldn't trade her for anything.

After I reserved my car, the next week I got an appointment to do a test drive for that very purpose "to see if it was worth the wait of a year" I loved it, and there happened to be an orphan in the corner calling my name...I took it home that afternoon! LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!!!!

Just remember that this is a "fan" forum and most people who are on this site either love the car and/or own one. This being said, most people who were dissatisfied with their purchase may have sold their cars and never mentioned anything about it on here as they no longer wanted to have anything to do with smart...its just a thought and holds no factuality. Just remember who you are asking. If you went to a miata forum...what do you think they would suggest you purchase?

Only worth the wait if you want to pay sticker. If you can't wait and have some extra coin then don't wait, get an Orphan.

If you get the right dealer you won't pay for anything you don't want. I paid sticker for my Lil, Passion with comfort package, taxes and destination fee of course. I did choose to extend the warranty but not by any pressure from the dealer. No other extras or add-ons, no extra charges.
