What do you tell people....

I'm going to use my car for business, have it wrapped and all that. I plan on parking it at home while I'm there in the yard or driveway to get attention. A friend of mine in Indianapolis who has done the same thing says people drove him nuts knocking on the door or walking up and asking (or not) to sit in the car to see how big it is. He is a lot nastier than I am (sorry Joe) and just blows them off. I don't want to seem rude but yet I don't want people to sit in my new car. Any suggestions, I'm guessing it will be a simple, I'm sorry, I'd rather you didn't.....

No solicitation sign on your door might work... or just don't answer the door.

maybe a nice but stern "The car is for business use only, sorry! my insurance does not allow it."
said courteously and with a great big smile, of course!
good luck...

It's a case of catch 22, if you want attention by leaving it on your drive and with a wrap on it, you are going to get attention, so you should'nt complain when it happens, if it is advertising your company what a great bit of PR if you are nice to people who show an interest in your car, so you should smile and let them look in your car and sit in it, then give them your business card or a brochure, job done, if you are horrible and tell them to go away, you are not advertising your company very well.
Smart cars have been used for company advertising over here in Britain for 10 years now and if you go to these signwriting companies they actually have the pattern for smart car wraps, the only other cars that are used in this way are the new Mini and the new Beetle.
Good luck and be careful what you wish for!

Us Yanks can't license the Crossblade here in the US. One fellow was trying to sell one on eBay that he couldn't register in his state. Too bad, as they're rather smart looking . . . as is the roadster. You guys have all the fun . . .

Long ago and far away in these forums, people were putting together fact sheets or cards they displayed in the window or handed to curious folk. You could do that when you park it. "If you're more interested in my car than my company, here are the facts. If, however, you'd like to do business, my number's on the car."
