weego-noble The 2009 Wheego Whip could be a twin brother of the Smart Car. Made in China, it's categorized as a NEV (neighborhood electric vehicles) The 2009 Wheego Whip is limited to speeds of 35 mph or less and can be driven only on certain of roads with speed limits under 30mph. The car is priced at $19,000 and is built off an existing Smart look alike called the Noble. The Whip will be partially built in China with final assembly here in the United States.

At the Paris 2002 auto show , the smart, GmbH showed off a sportier-styled Roadster, which hit the market in April 2003. It had a longer front end and open top, based on a stretched platform of the ForTwo. By far the hottest of the Smart series was its sophisticated, stylish and stimulating Smart Roadster and Smart Roadster Coupe. The Smart roadster and its cousin, the roadster Coupe, had a low posture, mid-engine placement, a paddle-change gearbox and big, wider tires protruding from the sides, just to say: “Let's go for a ride.”

The Smart Forfour was introduced to the media in Zürich, Switzerland, on "ForFour Day," June 26, 2003. Unlike the little "brother," this four-seater sedan was a more conventional car, a real hatchback super-mini with a roomy interior with a four- or five-seat configuration. The four seat sedan Smart was produced at the NedCar factory in the Netherlands in conjunction with Mitsubishi Motors, the same factory that produced the Volvo 340 in 1970s and 1980s.
