Founded in 1977, Brabus is one of Germany's best-known tuner accessory companies in the world. BRABUS creates a super Smart from either the Smart Passion Coupe or the Smart Passion Cabriolet.

These are just some of the few Brabus models Smart has had made.

The 2006 Smart Brabus Star Black Convertible came with 101 hp. Just like in Formula 1 racing shift paddles were used for the six speeds of the sequential transmission of the Brabus Black Star 101 located on the Brabus sport steering wheel.

Consecutively numbered plaques document the BRABUS BLACK STAR 101 exclusivity. Only 101 consecutively numbered cars will be built.

The black-painted special Smart model cost $50,900.00.

The Smart Brabus edition red was created. The car was for sale as a final special model to mark the phase-out of the current Smart model.

The car came with a 74 hp tuned engine, intense red' body panels and had a matching red tridion, front spoiler, side skirt and door mirrors and 16" Brabus Monoblock VI alloy wheels.

The Smart Red Edition cost $57,461.00.

In 2007 the Smart BRABUS Ultimate 112 was unveiled.

All of these cars will be finished in metallic orange with an orange trimmed black interior and came equipped with a Brabus body kit and 18 inch Brabus Monoblock VI wheels.

Production run will also be limited to 112 cars. Top speed was an impressive 106 mph. The Smart Brabus 112 sold for $66,000.00.

For 2008 the Smart Fortwo Brabus Xclusive will be available and is priced at $30,200.00. Most Brabus models carry a $9,000 premium over the standard Smart Passion. 

The BRABUS people concentrate primarily on two elements of the car.

One is the enhancing performance. They turbo charge the engine, giving it a serious 98 hp with acceleration from 0 to 62 mph in 9.9 seconds.

They also tune the transmission for a sportier and smoother ride. They add components developed specifically the Smart which include, reworking the chassis and suspension.

Brabus the installs large alloy wheels and efficient aerodynamic ground affects.

The next step is the enhancing the cars appearance. Get a custom paint job in any color, your interior becomes fully leathered, in any color imaginable.

Car come with color-coordinated velour floor mats and even the Smart Cabriolet tops are available in many the most wanted colors.

All sound systems are specifically matched to the Smart interior. They feature a custom amplifier, mid-range speakers, tweeters, and a sub-woofer located in its custom-designed housing under the driver's seat.

And if you want to go all out, BRABUS will equip your Smart with the voice-controlled COMAND system from the Mercedes S-Class, including TV tuner and DVD player.

To build this exclusive Smart creation smart, GmbH utilizes joint-venture components from the vast product range of Smart-BRABUS GmbH such as engine tuning with shortened shift times, a sport suspension or exclusive 16- and 17-inch tire/wheel combinations.
