Car wrap

I promised you guys a couple weeks ago pictures of the new wrap to promote my wife's book Blood Law. Well, today it was finalized. We had it delivered on 3/26 but found out half hour before delivery that the publisher needed to change the cover completely. Today we had the cover re-done and I can show you the final product. Nibbler has officially been dubbed the Blood Law Tour Bus. Debut author = short tour = short bus.

The wrap was done by Intelligent Design Studio in Mobile, AL. My cost for the partial wrap (avoiding complex curves) was $2,000... a real bargain when it comes to wraps. They did all the 3D work, I just supplied the book cover and text.

And strategically located at the Ground Zero Blues Club in Clarksdale, MS, just hours before Morgan Freeman arrived along with throngs of authors and fans.

OK, so you wrapped the car to promote the book?

SO, tell us something about the book?
Genre, availability, pricing, can we get an autographed first edition?

Yep, I wrapped it to promote the book. I just didn't want to steer far from the Smart-ism of the forums and get too promote-y on everyone. But since you asked...

Thanks, jwight, for the Amazon link. That's got the back cover text which is the small white text on the front and back of the car. The wrap guys did a great job at a dual-distance effect: Up close, you can read the text, but from 20 feet away all you see is "BLOOD LAW" so you're not distracted enough to rear-end me. Interestingly enough, the white text on the back seems to keep people from almost-rearending me now. I think it's the contrast. Anyway...

To answer wrumbarger: It's paranormal suspense... think of CSI/NCIS where the main investigators are vampires living among humans, and the murders are against vampires (in this book... the others will vary). If you like the HBO series True Blood more than you like Twilight/New Moon, this may fit your tastes. Alex isn't a broody, romantic vampire so much as a kick-ass federal enforcer with a few special talents I can't disclose.

Jeannie's happy to sign any copy of a book mailed to her, and if you live in the 200-500 miles around us, we'll probably do a stock-signing tour in July/August. She has a contest to win one of the last two Advance Reader Copies (with the old cover, therefore highly collectible) ... the link is on her LJ blog here:

Are you going to bring that thing to Nationals in KC?

We would love to see you two.
