I'm not worried about range because I used to own a vintage bike that had a 60 mile range. But the wife will has to remember to charge it because she isn't pushing it to the nearest gas station.

I can't say I didn't see that coming.

2015, 1 owner, 4500 miles, Cali car. Surround sound. Power windows, power mirrors, regular radio (that sucks only because it doesn't have Bluetooth).

It's a bit musty or stale smelling, my guess is it sat a lot. Its not the carpet or the seats or the HVAC. Any objections to getting one of those cans of chemical dehumidifier and letting it sit in the interior for a few hours?

I was also thinking of running an ozone generator for 30 minutes.

It has to be taken to MB. I'm sure it entails more than a bump though. Also, if the car rolls over without triggering the airbags the battery pack will be soft-disabled.

But yeah, I presume that most crashes in any car that deploy the airbags are generally write offs just from the body/frame work. I've never been involved in even a minor fender bender since 1984 or so - way before there were airbags.

A gas bike only could go 60 miles on a tankful? My electric motor scooter will go that far on a charge...

It can if it's a 74 Honda CB with an aftermarket slide carb and exhaust.

I got a question for you guys. In the trunk, behind the plastic panels(where you service the tail lights) on either side, I found a sponge in a pocket inside a plastic bag. Seems like it's long and reaches into the quarter panel.

What is that?

It's just some noise/rattle suppression material...

You will also notice that there is a third, unused socket on the tail light bulb mounting board. For some reason, Smarts went out of their way to use the US domestic-style brake/turn signal light lenses instead of the separate amber turn signal light used in the rest of the world - which is odd, becasue either tail light arrangement is acceptable by the US DOT.

OK, now, through a discussion with Kane at Evilution, it appears that the the "pyrofuse" is a replaceable unit located under the driver's side seat. Apparently by "irreversibly deactivated" the do not mean "bricked". Maybe something go lost in translation.
sokoloff and Foolios like this.

Kane may have provided confirmation to my prior post?

Note - there is a third party in GA that will "rebuild" various pyrofuses to include M-B (and maybe smart?).

Irreversibly deactivated does not mean permanently deactivated. These are Germans, if it was permanently deactivated they would have used the word permanently instead of irreversibly. Irreversibly means that the component must be replaced for the connection to be restored. In the repair manual that Len posted a few nights ago it says that any part of the HV electrical system is capable of being replaced, but you cannot repair a damaged component. This would include pyrofuses and cables, I'd think.
