220 in a house is no more than 2-legs of 110, so instead of one positive and one ground you have (2) 110 legs with one ground. It's worth getting the little green book just to educate yourself. After a quick reading it's not so mysterious!
Yep, 220v is a piece of cake. I have 220 all over for compressor, welder, lathe and mill. I put it all in myself. It's when you go 3 phase it becomes a little more complicated.

From the carcass, can someone confirm it's a 451 cabrio (roll bar)?
I'd definitely say cabrio. And from the lack of exhaust/engine parts visible from the rear of the carcass (the muffler should be easily visible) I'd say yep, ED!

KRA & Stretch,

Very true that it is just "double your fun" with wires and plugs BUT, there are some homeowners who can't spell DIY. Some "tool timers" should not be allowed to own a tool chest let alone a set of wire cutters and a screwdriver.

As George Carlin said, "just nature's way of thinning out the herd."

Exactly. I spent 5 years managing a home improvement store... it's scary how many people that have no clue what they were doing came through there. And homeowners with a little knowledge are VERY frightening.

When I bought my current home, the prior homeowner had wanted an extra outlet in the garage... he cut off and stripped the end of an extension cord, and stuck one (stranded) wire into a breaker that was already taken, and then wrapped the other wire around the neutral bar (not even in a terminal) and let it dangle out of the breaker box.

 agreed... if you don't know what the button does... don't push it!

Still, if someone really want's to know how to do something, the resources are out there! The little green book was invaluable!

I remember on the Honda Odyssey forum one guy screwed up his timing belt and got everybody nervous about doing it. I did mine and wrote a supplement to the manual and posted it on the website. It really wasn't that hard if you just go step by step and follow the directions. The problems start when you think you know better and start winging it! Best not wing it with electricity! You know -- 220, 223, whatever it takes! (Mr. Mom!)

Wait, you can't add a chrome dual tip, center outlet aftermarket exhaust to an ED? Adds HP you know . . .

Now that would confuse some folks . . .

Hey Uptown Dawg opportunity knocks - call "Chiner" and order up some of those ED Sprint Boosters & Performance Chips. I'm thinkin' plug and play sealed black plastic box with dongle - fast $300 bucks . . .

It could be used to exhaust stale air from under the seats in the passenger compartment or even the battery compartment, besides looking cool!

Add a coil and a spark plug that can be fired from a push button on the dash to ignite those gases!!!

That does exist! Doesn't Carlsson have a "mock" dual center exit "exhaust" that's just their valence with fake exhaust tips sticking out?
