front brakes locked up

Hi everyone again thank you for the advice on our gas leak problem that’s all fixed 🙂 now another problem . It is raining here as usual these days in pa. Went to turn around our newly purchased 2009 Smart and the front brakes locked up 😞 can’t move the damn thing 😞 any input would be appreciated

Quite common for them to get flash rusted. I usually just give er some gas and they pop free, might try in reverse too.

Yup, sometimes it requires a lot of throttle if the car's been parked for a while, but that'll usually do the trick.

If they're actually locked, I'm not sure what you could do outside of taking them apart.

More likely to be the rear drum brakes than the front discs. Mine will do this occasionally, a little throttle and they pop free.

I’ve learned this lesson , I put our Brabus in the garage after a trip with wet roads , parking brake applied for two weeks , it took some throttle to budge it loose . Now I park all our Smarts that sit in the garage without the parking brake applied .
