Mobil One is a good oil and it is what I use in all the IC engine cars I've own or owned . But some people don't want to pay the $9.00 per quart price - especially if the oil is changed frequently.

And for most cars, different viscosities are recommended for different climates - 0W20 is fine for winter and moderate summer temperatures, but 10W40 is better in hot summer climates.

Walmart had 5 qts down to $22.xx for a while but is up to about $29.xx for 5 qts. AutoZone has pretty good oil change specials.

And once or twice a year Mobil 1 offers a $12 rebate on five quarts of their oil. Can't beat that deal, although I have never changed the oil in my Smarts.

Was at Walmart today. Decided to carefully look at the pricing labels on the Mobil 1 0W-40, it is at $26.68. Extended performance may be the $29.

Sorry about the mixup!
