So, drag and drop to what/where? :)

This old man is mystified by most "computer-talk" by you experts. One of the many mysteries has been this old-timer's inability to attach a photo to one of my posts, without, I am told, using some fancy photo program through which I move a photo on my computer to the post. I have never been able to figure those photo programs out. Does this mean that with a little more guidance from the young crowd here I should be able to move a photo on my computer to attach it to a post? When I click on the new "Drag files here to attach!" box nothing happens. My ignorance is overwhelming.... Jim

b322da, I think it's supposed to be as simple as opening the photo's containing folder in Windows Explorer, then dragging and dropping the photo into the composition window. But, it's not working for me. When I try it I get a huge block of random text figures. The jpg file isn't being interpreted as an image file.
On the other hand, I've never had any trouble posting pictures the old way. Hope someone will explain this ...

I kinda wished it would've also made for easier picture insertion from the web and mobile...but it's seemingly only useful for the desktop crowd...
