Small Evap leaks won’t pass smog

Hi, I need some help. My check engine light came on and it’s a small leak detected In The Evap system. Because of that they won’t pass my smog test. I took off the gas cap and it looks fine. I flipped the seal around to give it a slightly newer surface and made sure it was nice and tight but it dident work. I understand a smoke test is best practice but I was hoping for some hints of stuff to try. The car runs fine so I don’t care about the issue my main goal here is to get myself out of smog test hell. Right now I am being required to go wait at the dmv for 3 hours every weekend to get an extension . Everyone around here either flat out refuses to work on my smart or prices me so high it’s crazy. Ive looked around online a lot and I am barely find any info about what hose to inspect and where the hardware scan be accessed. Thanks again,
Zach

What's your location and year of the car? Assuming you have tried shops that specialize in Mercedes-Benz work?

It’s a 2013.... the smart dealer wanted 400 dollars for an oil change. So I haven’t even bothered yet. I can’t imagine them quoting me less then 200z Since I owe registration too And it’s a non issue mechanically I’m trying to get out of this in the cheapest jankiest way possible.

Is your Las Vegas smart dealer (Fletcher Jones?) also an Inspection Station?

I'd take it to FJ for ONLY the $50 State Emissions Testing and see what they find? Consider it a smog check Lottery Ticket . . .

OR, drop by Franks European Service???

Who also do Smog Test & Repair . . .

Thanks for the insight but that’s not really what I’m asking. I’m trying to figure out how the evap is routed. I’d rather just check my hoses and wires before dropping a thousand dolllars in a nothing problem.
