Thanks for the reply. My only concern was is there isn't much ground clearance that way but it looks like you swapped the tires to fix that?

No, tires are the same diameter front or rear.

Where do you find such a dolly? How is the car mounted on it?

Th only tow dolly I've used are the U-Haul kind with the wheels on the outside of the towed vehicle and pivoting ramps - which might be a problem with the Smart with its short wheelbase, not to mention its narrow track.

do a google search for 2 wheel tow dolly and it will show dozens of places that sell them

Heavy Duty Car Trailer Towing Dolly Hauler - 4,500 Capacity Tow

not sure I would use one from the front of a smart, Only time I used one was on a rear wheel drive with the drive shaft removed, or a front wheel drive car. I rented a trailer when I towed my smart home.

I got it over 25 years ago from the JC Whitney catalog. It has ramps you drive the car up on.

If JC Whitney doesn't have it....you probably don't need it. Years ago, when a car nerd drove through the local Dog and Suds with a lot of useless crap on it, people said it was "Race prepared by JC Whitney".

It's looking me little bit risky towing, I think the right way to tow this in a trailer. you need a small trailer cause car has a small size, i have some towing experience at https://www.ritewaytowingnyc.com/roadside-assistance"emergency roadside assistance service ny, so the trailer will the right choice according to me.
