Vacuumed the motor area of the 453 . Our PA roads are filthy from a wet spring and summer. I hate a dirty motor .

Ceramic Front Pads

I put Ceramic pads on the front of my 453 2018 EV. With the extra weight of the battery pack, I was not very confident of the OEM pads life or ability to handle the extra 300lbs (same spec as the 300lbs lighter 453 ICE).

Seated them and drove my favorite curvy roads. Much better feel under braking. The Smart feels a little more sure of itself now entering the curves while braking...

Oooh I really do want to ride a Burgman one day. Maybe not own one, but definitely ride one! A truly modern bucket list scooter I want is a Honda PCX 150. Maybe one day. I first have to get myself a Triumph Bonneville and a BMW K bike.

Suzuki Burgman is a nice ride, smooth, quiet and pretty fast. Surprised a few Harley riders at stop lights. I even added a little something to the back of the Burgman for those Harley riders to read. (see 3th pic)
Here are two "scooters" beside the Vstar I owned in between my 08 smart and my current 09 smart.
One is a Suzuki Burgman 650 the other was a Kymco xciting 500.
For those who say "Oh you own little scooter"
Take a look at my Burgman behind a full dress Harley.

I bought one of these from Wish.com about a year back. It folds up small and round and stores in it's own pouch. DreamCarOwner

The 09 Smart had a intermittent downshift issue on occasion with the paddle shifter (since we have owned it and the former owner acknowledged before the sale) so I finally took off each paddle shifter and did a great soaking of electrical cleaner while operating the paddle . Let each air dry throughly , installed and now she shifts as designed . It was easy to do and got instant results ... cost $5.35 for the can of electric cleaner . Happiness .
