Where to dispose of ForTwo?

Hey all - got an old '08 violating my HOA codes in the driveway and need to sell/donate. Anybody have opinions on best place to get good value sending off effectively a totaled Smart? I'll run through the laundry list of its woes:

- Frozen steering wheel - does not move one bit either direction, wheels are effectively locked forward. No idea what the problem is here.
- Rusted off muffler - junction broken @ engine, muffler swings freely
- Two snapped front springs, just draped around the front shocks.
- One deflated, unfixable tire
- Dead battery, but car will not start even with a charged battery. Electronic system error everyone here will be familiar with.
- Broken off antenna

To fix all of these things would probably come to the 3k mark and definitely not worth it for me, considering this car was driven carefully on smooth roads and all of these things happened as though it was being jumped in mud games or something. I think that about sums it up. Thoughts on what best to do with it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Put it in the free section on craigslist. I'm sure someone will take it for parts. I wish I had a vehicle and a trailer, I'd gladly take it for parts and an engine swap project.
With the little weight this cars weigh it would probably cost more to put it on a trailer and take it to the junk yard.

I would just get your car fixed. From what you claim, issue wise. Doesn’t sound like there’s $3K worth of fixes.

If you want to get rid of it. Just donate the vehicle to, the blind association. They will fix the car up. Sell it, the proceeds, will aid the blind.
My neighbor done that a couple times. Tax right off too.

If you watch PBS or listen to NPR, call your local station and they will take it away and give you a writeoff valuation.

Vehicle donation. We had an old Toyota that wasn't worth fixing, so we donated to a worthy cause (Arthritis Foundation) for the tax writeoff.

PM Miss Mercedes. She is in the Chicago area and runs a home for orphaned smarts. She will probably be interested in an adoption.

Cash for Cars :: Sell Used Cars, Trucks or SUVs :: Cars.IAAI.com

Might only get $100 or $200 but you want it gone.

You're in Chicago? I could hitch a trailer and drag it home! When was the car last running?

It's worth more than you think if the engine is good. I'd think a rear engine/trans assembly would be worth at least $2200 with a new clutch installed.
