IMHO too many sections results in convolution and too much button pressing as if I don't do enough already.

I think you should divide TX into the Houston area, the Dallas area, the SA and the Austin area. Texas is a big state.

Mr Smart, Sir.....I believe we (Indiana) needs their own "Chapter" since smart center of indianapolis is serving not only all of Indiana but part of Illinois as well.

Also, Mr Smart, our most honest, caring, intelligent and attentive Administrator, i believe that if you dedicate a 'Chapter' to Indy, that our dealer may communicate more with this forum and his clientel.

Please take this into consideration as we know that you, Mr Smart Administrator, will make a decision based on what is best for us, the members of this forum.

Thank you.

Jeepster55

P.S. as for the $100 i promised you, "the check is in the mail"

Jeepster - for those of us in NW Indiana it would have been nice if Penske had placed a dealership in the area, making it smart dealer #2 in Indiana. In the 5 county area of Indiana there are at least 5 smarts I have seen on the street and lord knows how many on order. I hope because Indianapolis covers about 1/4 of the Chicagoland population you all will get your cars faster. I reserved May11, 2007 and confirmed Jan2, 2008 and the DDE is telling me June 30-Sept31 2008. There are not enough dealers in the Chicago area to meet the orders in a timely manner. When I was in Valparaiso last weekend there were 3 parked side by side at Best Buy. BTY, for this area the closest dealer is 75 miles away.

When I picked mine up last Saturday

Loeber rep (Lincolnwood) had said they delivered something like 90 cars during April with a few days still left in the month; it was their largest month so far. The other dealer in Lake Bluff appears to be a much smaller operation (both physically and number of deliveries) plus Lake Bluff seems to be delivering higher 4-digit reservation numbers (at least by feedback from the few folks who have picked up their cars in Lake Bluff) and getting through their assigned list of reservationists a bit quicker (but not a lot). As far as yet another sub-forum for even Chicagoland, at this point it shouldn't matter much unless many more folks want it (interest is still not there yet). So I'm content with posting new deliveries and/or if we have enough interest in a group event in a thread in this MW section for now - Good Luck with an Indy one if the smart gods decree it

To be honest . . .

I'm not sure at what thread-count threshold its determined that a new 'sub' would be beneficial or needed so praying to the gods may not even work

I'm surprised that smart Lake Forest (Knauz) isn't delivering a ton of cars, I figured every teenage girl up there would have one. I guess the fortwo just doesn't have the panache that a convertible BMW has with the high schoolers. Mom and Dad are more interested in driving Bentleys and Quattroportes up there, after all gas at $4 + a gallon isn't a big deal in Lake Forest.
