2013 Brabus, want to move to 15" or 16" rears but keep same width

So as the title says I have a 2013 Brabus with the stock 15"/17" monoblock wheels, and am looking at options for keeping the same stock tire widths (5.5" front I believe, 7.5" rear) but reducing the size/weight of the rear rims to either 16" or 15" with a thicker tire to keep the overall wheel diameter the same as stock.

So I'm thinking I'd end up with 15"x5.5" front, and 15/16"x7.5" rear, and ideally reduce the weight of the rear wheels in the process. Has anyone done something like this already? Seems like a good or bad plan?

I'm having some trouble finding a set of rims that match these sizes, has anyone seen any? All the Team Dynamics ones I've seen from Smart Madness are 16" only, and I don't want to change the size of the front wheels. The 15" only Brabus sets I've seen are all narrower than stock wheels which doesn't seem ideal.

I hope this hasn't been covered somewhere else already, I've been lurking for a while now and can't find anyone who did this type of setup so far.

Thank you!

Good to hear! I didn't see anyone keeping the stock Brabus widths thus far along with 15 front 15/16 rear, they all went to either larger or wider fronts. I'll keep reading though. Thanks!

Do you want to keep Brabus Monoblok wheels on the rear of your car? If so, you can get a 5.5x16 Brabus wheel, but I don't think a 7.5x15 or 7.5x16 is offered by Brabus.

Only important thing is to keep the diameters of the tires front to rear the same. Your ABS will go wonky and kick it into limp mode if you don't.

Unfortunately no, ideally I'd keep the same size front wheels and change out the back wheels. As you say, Brabus doesn't make a 7.5x15 or 16, so it's been tough so far to find a set of rims that match those staggered dimensions for front and rear.

Totally! The plan is to reduce the rear rim size and increase the tire diameter to keep the overall wheel size the same, basically having less rim and more tire. Now I just have to find the rims that actually have those dimensions.
