Resetting the Service Display 2016 Smart

When I had the oil changed on my 2016 Smart last week, the person doing the work could not get rid of the service display which shows when I first start the car. I looked in my book, page 154, and I could not do it either. Does anyone know a SIMPLE (or otherwise) way to get rid of the service display?

Not certain there is any other way than that described in the manual. Worked perfectly for me on my ICE smart. Is yours electric?

If not or it stops working go to

www.startekinfo.com

On the left side:

MB Workshop Resources

Reset Service Indicator

I’m afraid www.smarttekinfo.com has been shut down and merged into www.startekinfo.com.

Thought is was an ICE from previous posts but thought it best to verify. Lol. As I said, manual directions worked as described on my 2016.
