Thanks for info...one more quick question...did you purchase the extended plans when your Smart was brand new...or at a latter date?

I purchased the same warranty at the same price. I did not go with the pre paid maintainance. Maybe I should have. I only got the warranty due to reading some posts about clutch and instrument cluster electronics issues. I heard the clutch alone could run close to 1900 dollars. I would just rather finance it and not have to come up with that out of pocket just in case.

Houston, I, too, own a Brabus and was told when I purchased it that I would be able to decide at any time before the 2 yr warranty expired for the same price available at the time of car purchase. That was before all the changes.

What did you decide? Any information you can share would be appreciated, thanks.

Bought a brand new 300TD in '80. Traded her in 10 years later and 200,000+ miles for a '90 190E. 21 years later and I'm still kicking myself for getting rid of her. Best car I've ever owned, and I've owned a lot.

I bought my 09 Brabus Cabrio a few months ago at Carmax. It had 8,200 miles. I bought a Bumper to Bumper warranty with a $100.00 deductible for $1400. (If I take it to Carmax for repairs, it is a $50.00 deductible). It is for 6 years or when the car reaches 75,000 miles.
