Revamped SLK as Smart Roadster?

Perhaps Mercerdes could rebadge/modify the SLK to be a Smart Roadster?

Mercedes SLK Class. There was an idea of revamping and rebadging the Mercedes A-Class as the ForFour, why not the SLK class as the Roadster or ForZoom? (made up the latter).

Revamp the Mercedes concept pickup into a Smart ForPickup?

With the Mercedes SLK, one would not have to change it to meet US DOT regulations since (IIRC) it already does. I think it would broaden the range of vehicles for Smart.

Auto Car Reviews. I would be happy if they made this as the new roadster.

I particularly like the way that they formed the Mercedes Benz logo by putting a three armed radial wiper on a round central section of the windscreen. A very neat design concept.

But the Crossblade is about as impractical a vehicle as was ever designed. Well, unless you have the spare dosh to own both a fair weather and a foul weather car...
