Personally, I'd say let them do it, since it has good rollover protection, but you KNOW if one goes over it will have a hundred thousand hits on u-tube in less than a week!:eek:
I agree, but I feel I have enough experience and skill that if it started to get too tippy, I would back down a little. (OR, I could start my own Joey Chitwood show) :eek:
SCCA techs can allow vehicles to run if they want to....
I autocrossed my BMW Isetta 300 with a 750 V4 Magna transplant. The local SCCA knew that I was famous (infamous) for showing up with something unique. They allowed me to run even though it would normally be turned away (short wheelbase, very narrow rear track, and fairly tall.) They also knew that I know how to drive and I have common sense. I just wanted to get some photos of the car running the course, but it felt pretty stable (for an Isetta), so I pushed it a little harder each run....My friend got a pic where you could see daylight under the inside front wheel on a turn (like Krusty), but ultimately a broken pillar bearing in the transfer case ended my Autocross fun.
I later entered a Australian built Goggomobil 300cc Sedan, (fiberglass body vs steel for German built), in a two day event (Pro Solo), They had their own tech people, and they did not like a swing-axle car with positive camber all around. I brought documents showing that Goggos have positive camber from the factory, and that they also had an impressive rally history beating vehicles up to 1,000cc. They allowed me to run, but they watched me very carefully ! I was THE slowest car there, but I had the most fun !
