Pop Up Roof Tent and Trailer?

I saw a pop up roof tent on an episode of 'Pimp My Ride'. They had finished a remake of a VW Thing. They brought a white plastic box that opened into a tent. I looked online and found this site; Auto Home US.

The Smart car might not handle the weight but one could put it on a small utility / flat trailer? Some one had suggested elsewhere.

There is a small variety of roof top tents.
Rack Mount Sport Trailer; the utility trailer for the pop up tent?

Perhaps used on top of the Compact Camping Concept? Perhaps give it a more clean look when it is folded for traveling.

Camping with a Smart Car

I sure hope they make this tent.

We recently drove and camped with a Smart Car Fortwo in Death Valley -

Search our blog - NY Nomads - for smart car to find a post about our camping.

It was tight to pack the vehicle with the items we needed to camp, but there's just enough to sit in the front and stuff a couple sleeping bags, a tent, some blankets, pillows, and a couple schoolbags of items in the back.
It held well enough on the paved roads.

Garage
never even felt it back there. not much in it, cooler, some clothes, couple of folding chairs, ore empty than full. Made from a 4x4 raailer (Menards) and an old roof top carrier (to make it waterproof)

You could pick it up and move it for backing up , the 4 corner posts make it easier to see, and a place to strap kayaks down when hauling them.
