Thanks for the input. Actually I'm more interested in knowing if others have a car that is made by "other", model "other". Hence the post in Mid-Atlantic.
The electric thing was just a side note...

I know this sounds too far out to be true, but it did happen here in Richmond.
I parked in front of a Subway, as I was going in, a pair of local beauties were staring at my smart, one pointed to the roof and asked me if the car was one of the new solar powered cars. I tried to not fall over laughing, so I just said no and walked away.

|gstreetcomic||I recall the day i got my Smart inspected at a local gas station in Fairfax. The guy was like a kid in a candy shop, and i think if i were not watching he would have driven around the block in my car just for the thrill of it all.|

I can top your inspector's comment.
I am putting gas in Passion at Wawa, hose in car pumping, woman walks up and asks: Isn't this one of those all electric cars?
My response, yes ma'am it is. She responded, cool I like it.
Wow! Oblivious to reality!

|sunnyokanagan||Love it! The cdi inspection is even easier. Drive in. Exhaust not blowing smoke? OK, you're outta here. LOL!|

Just did the DC DMV two year inspection, and note that my car make and model are «other» and «other»... Same experience?
FYI: "Is it electric or gas?", while the engine was running!
Made an appointment online. Took 10 minutes via the OBD: «pass», of course.
