|Incochief||It isn't that bad methinks. But perhaps you should try another dealer. My 16 ED took 10 weeks to be built and arrive.|

|LaszloPanaflex||I too want to order a fully loaded Prime model. The dealer that I'm working with, Mercedes Benz of Lindon UT, told me they have build slots for special orders on a quarterly basis, and that I can place my order in Mid November. With that, I should expect to take delivery of the car in March or April next year.|

Unless you are one of the extremely lucky few that have a smart roadster (452) in the US(?) you are probably driving a 451?
The original smart was the 450, then the US started getting the 451, and we now are getting the 453.
I feel your pain on trying to order a custom smart from the website.
I have been waiting to configure a 453 cabrio since it was announced months ago?!?!?

|jwight||I doubt it's too late to order, but your car would likely show up as a 2017 at this point and I'm not sure the dealers have all the info they need on the 2017 models yet. If you are willing to order without all the details being firm that should work, but if you wait a month or so (hopefully...) all the 2017 ordering details should be nailed down.|

Build your own Smart
Is it me or does the Smart USA site make it as unfriendly as possible to build your own and order your custom site.
When I log into dealer sites it seems as if everything is done to keep me focused on their current inventory and to not build and order your own.
About the first of June I tried to build my own and order a new 2016 Smart only to be told none could be found on the dealer network and that it was too late to order one. Is this true? June 1????? Are they kidding????
I am a current owner of a 452 and wish move up to the new series. Cash deal, no trade-in. You'd think I was trying to order a new super car or something. I just want a fully equipped Prime model (~$21,000).
Doesn't Smart USA or any Midwest dealer want to take my money? It's not like these vehicles are just flying off the lots. Color me frustrated!!!
