Vcotta451Turbo, two weeks later and no picture of your MY08 451 Turbo engine???
Inquiring minds STILL want to know . . .
Note, think this may be a "drive by" as Vcotta has not been on the Forum since 03-12-2019 when ALL 7 posts were made???

We have quite a few members running a decent amount of boost quite reliably. Highest mileage aftermarket turbo car I know of was near 200k before it was sold and presumably racking up more miles in the care of a new owner. With good maintenance and maybe a little good luck, these engines can take quite the beating.
The engine (sourced from Mitsubishi) also comes with a factory turbo in other markets.

|twyrick||Not only all this, but .... does the engine in a 451 even handle turbocharging very reliably? I mean, this is the same one that's got a bit of a reputation for burnt valves and valves that need shimming at 60K or so miles to readjust them, in some cases. I would be hesitant to trust it with forced induction.|

|S1iver08||I’m pretty sure OP sees a cone filter, no turbo. Pics or it didn’t happen.|

What PROOF POSITIVE did she provide that this rare MY08 451 was equipped with a factory TURBO???

|DreamCarOwner||VCotta does your Fortwo run pretty strong and get good gas mileage? I have always wanted a turbo for mine but just haven't had the extra money to do so. I have read that some turbos have a bit of lag before it kicks in and sets you back in the seat. Just curious. Thanks. DCO|

|Vcotta451Turbo||So that means a 75 year old real estate agent had a Turbo installed...that's absolutely bazaar.|
