Bob Denman The shop that painted it: told me that they used an entire box of crayons, in order to get the color just right...
But they all dug the car, and a couple of them said that they're going to start looking for them.

Rambo4 That Gold that matches the Travelhome looks fantastic on a 453!

The Silver Star and Silver Star Ultra are good bulbs. I have used them in all my vehicles, including cycles and scooters, for years. Early on some of those made elsewhere reportedly did suffer early failure but those from Germany do not. I’ve never had an issue. The Ultra is the brighter of the two versions.

Rambo4 The nice thing about the 451s headlights are both h7s. I used to get flashy things all the time. The ZXE from Sylvania are ridiculous.

Igor Barbaros If they are anything like the Silvana brightest down road sold at Walmart then but spares. I went through 6 bulbs in less than a year and then went back to the OEM ones

ElementalDragon Keep feeling like I should change the spark plugs in my 453. At like 73,000 miles and haven't changed them yet. Still runs fine, though.... No noticeable hiccups. Anyone have any input?

Miss Mercedes I fixed my engine tappety noises! Turned out my dipstick was dry. Yeah, that oil pan leak is definitely quite bad...Filled her up, engine purrs. Oil pan will be patched for now, then replaced when I do the reluctor rings.

BUT *sigh* ...during my celebration the serpentine belt broke again. To the credit of these belts, the first went at 100k miles after the tensioner went at 45k. These belts are supposed to replaced every 60k anyway so I counted that as a win. This belt went 60k after the last one and the tensioner is still shot. The wear on it was accelerated during my Tennessee trip. I take it mud probably found its way into the belt, disintegrating it faster.

Think I'll have the tensioner replaced this time around so I don't have to have anxiety every time I drive in the rain. Good thing it broke at home. The car just has to make it 3 miles to a shop.

Bob Denman Thanks!
I may have to name them "Arnold" and "Danny"!
