If you look in my gallery, you will see I have replaced the 450's Grundig CD radio with an after market Kenwood BTv-900. I bought the face-plate adapter, antenna adapter and wiring harness adapter. I ended up using those twist-on wire nuts. They look like triangles, sort of.
Make sure you use the right size of those. I used a couple that were bigger (as I ran out of the correct size) and had to go back and replace them.

|Stretchmobile||Get the faceplate from Smart Madness. I got the wiring adapter but didn't use it because it got too bulky behind the radio, I hard wired it. Make sure you get the antenna adapter. I added a subwoofer under the passenger seat and two speakers in the tailgate. Sounds so much better! Good luck!|

Installing new multimedia headunit? (2002 450)
Hi, I've just purchased a Soundstream multimedia headunit to install in my 2002 Smart Fortwo.
What is the best way to go about the installation?
Should I simply hardwire the device to the car or is there a wiring harness option for a Smart 450?
Thanks in advance!
