Damn, you're right! There's still gotta be a way. Just gotta think cleverly. I guess the pin that the interior switch is connected to on the SAM isn't monitored when the SAM is in sleep mode (with the car shut off), whereas the pin that the remote receiver is connected to must be monitored. Might be more tricky than anticipated.

I did think about that because Madness showed three different BMS rear bumpers in stock. Two of them were powder coated gray or black and one was unfinished carbon steel. I was going to get the raw steel and have it plated or something but it was the polished stainless I was really after. I shot them an email and Carlos got back to me and said they had the stainless one in stock and gave me a price. I sat on the idea for a week and decided to pull the trigger but when I called to order the part he said let me go check to make sure we do because I was told we had them but have not seen them. I was on hold for so long that the phone system transferred me back to the madness main line. He called me back about half hour later and said yes they have two stainless in stock but only one was a complete kit so I said I wanted it. He gave me a deal and sold it to me for the price of the raw steel bumper because no one even knew they had it. I was going to get one and paint it but now that I have the stainless one I would hate to cover up its shine! The brake light I want is the black one with the chrome reflectors around the LED lights. I have the carlsson exhause and the stainless rear bumper on the car so there is a lot of shinny going on over the black car. I want to get something to balance out the silver back there. I know what you mean about the style of the car and I am so picky that I stood there looking at the back of mine for half hour trying to decide to put a dragon sticker in the back window or not. No sticker yet but I am still wanting to do it. I got lucky with the black powder coated rims being 15" but do wish they were larger. The problem with the black is rock chips. Soon there will be more sharpie marker than powder coat lol. What headlight kit are you running? I did a little driving around in front of you and really liked how your lights looked. I am trying not to do much more to the car either till the lease is settled. That's the sad story about that car is that the price was crazy but I had to have it. I did not want to lease but hey it saved us close to $200 a month that way which was stupid to pass up. After the accident last year I just look at is the price coming down when the lease is up :) That and our lease is up a few months after the 453 comes out so they are really not going to want that car back. At auction they would be lucky to get anything for it.

P.S. I know Tina at the dragon wanted a BMS rear bumper and she was the only other one there that had the carlsson exhaust which got me thinking. I know a lot of people with the BMS bumper and a few with the Carlsson exhaust, but I am the only one I know with both :)

Have you thought about painting the BMS Bumper Sharp Red. Powder coating per chance?
It would be the only one like it. :D

Which LED hi mount Brake light are you planning on using? I selected the Matte Silver unit from Uptown Dog Company. I like the minor brushed silver touches on the Brabus. I had agreed with the Red on black scheme of the Brabus, though the Black version of the tail lamp was shiny on an otherwise matte black plastic cabrio backbone. The Matte Silver had a bit more appeal. I have added the brushed stainless handle appliques because I did not like the crystallization of the black plastic handles and surrounds. I did like the highlight, though it is a bit large in appearance.
When they repaired my Brabus wheels this last time, the paint they used is too grey and they did not repaint the inside either. I may be picky, but if it has to do with the enjoyment of the style of the car, I might as well have what I truly like. The painted finish can match the brushed finish of the aluminum wheels close enough for me that I still like it. The Brabus wheels are too vulnerable to worry about needing the original perfect finish. They are too expensive too. I do want the right silver not silver gray. They got it right once, but this time they got it wrong on both rear wheels. I was surprised when I won best in class. I did not really feel my car was showable. :D
