I left San Jose, ca at 1.30am, almost San Diego now, will update this in an hour or do w what I'm towing!

Here is the car w trailer! I installed the hitched last night

$136 curt hitch w 2 day shipping!

You just installed the hitch and are doing a 1K roadtrip?
I strongly suggest you check the new bolts a couple of times in case they loosen up on the road?

How did you wiring the trailer lights

I am having the hardest time getting the wiring right and suggestions or did you take it to any place in SJ CA?

This is not about your wiring question, but...

Please make certain that your trailer lights have LED's vs bulbs. If a "bulb" goes out, your bad bulb on the bad side of the trailer will knock out the smartie directionals. I wrote about this on a prior thread in '09. I will be happy to find it for you if needed.

Other than that, smartie is a workhorse.

Any trailer shop can assist you. No problem with smartie and a Curt hitch.

Wiring Question

HOW TO: Taillight, Trailer Wiring

Driver Side/Left Rear
Ground – All BROWN
Backup – YELLOW w/RED Stripe
Taillight – BROWN w/GRAY Stripe
[FONT=&quot]Combo Stop/Turn – BLACK w/WHITE Stripe

[/FONT]Passenger Side/Right Rear
Ground – All BROWN
Backup – YELLOW w/ RED stripe
Taillight – GRAY w/GREEN Stripe
[FONT=&quot]Combo Stop/Turn – BLACK w/ GREEN Stripe[/FONT]

If you are pulling a smart on a trailer with another smart, maybe you should lay off the grapewines. You've probably had one too many already! :p
