they don't sound real serious about selling it from the description. "Please if you don't know what it is DON'T bother with silly questions." They act like it is a rare one of a kind and everybody should know what it is. Truth is there probably are a handful that know what iyt is and what it costs to get one legally into the country. It looks to still have the European speedometer...

A little on the spendy side..

Ran the VIN, looks like it got to New York from Florida. Car was originally for sale for $10k less than what the eBay listing is for. The VIN also seems to check out as an actual Roadster too (somehow it must have leaked through Customs). Usually these things have a salvage title from a wrecked G&K 450 (illegal but some states don't care), but this one is somehow legit. Nice collector item for whoever gets scammed by the dealer for it.

I'd buy that thing in a heartbeat. What's the street value on a kidney? :p

Still not as impressive as the 1st gen forfour I found for sale in Texas back in 2010...that one had a 2005 fortwo VIN though, so obviously had some "washing" to get legal.
