I have a 2005 grey market car that I purchased for an outrageous amount of money from ZAP. Have attempted to sell it on and off for the last couple of years but no takers. Does anyone else have this type of car?

I've got a 2005 ForTwo Passion grey market too. I figure it is too uncommon, unusual, unique for your average buyer to appreciate. I just got mine a month ago and of course a good number of people think I'm nuts for buying it. That's okay with me. 
I'll keep mine until the maintenance gets prohibitive and then I don't know how I'll get rid of it.

we looked at and drove one here locally with just under 2K miles on it. oh, it WANTED! badly.
their used price was comparable to a new '09, but being a gray mkt. car our Credit Union wasn't able to find a way to finance for us... they kept using the Cdn '05 Passion as reference. it's all they could do, which of course it ISN'T. but I digress.
so we had to buy new. oh darn.
I wish you enjoyed yours more than it sounds like you do. for a number of reasons I think they're well worth what the prices are. but that's me. sorry to hear you're thinking of getting rid of it.

Have had our 2 since 2007. Mom fell in love on sight. I found hers in Montana. After driving it for a week or so, I knew I needed to get my own. Independent in southern Idaho found mine for me, and she's even better now that she's pink!! I have drivent the past 2 winters, with snow tires on, and have had no problems. Have travelled over to the coast several times, and planning our vacation to the Grand Canyon for the early spring... gonna love that and the looks!! Praise goes to my mechanic, who really searched us out so he could look inside and work on them. He doesn't even mind doing the oil changes!!

The City of Portland bought 2 gray market 450s in 2007 for around 25k a piece. This was pretty scandalous, because it was known at that time the the new 2008 451's would be available in a few months at 1/2 the price.
I think the 450s are even more adorable than the new generation.
