I 've been wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what was done to fix it or do you just live with it ...Thanks !!

It’s a very common problem, not just with our Smarts, but with many cars. Ultraviolet light breaks down the clear coat paint causing peeling and putting. Keeping cars garaged/in the shade helps because the effects are cumulative.

Some Smart owners have replaced roofs, had them vinyl wrapped, or sanded the roof down to the polycarbonate and we-applied clear coat.
