Just recently purchased a 2008 Smart Passion and accidentally put the top down and now it's off track. I got the top back up but I can't drive it if it's going to rain because it leaks because of being off track. Not sure who to check with to get this fixed. Closet smart car place is about 1.5 hrs away from me. Can a regular body shop help with this?

I agree with Jw. But... are you sure both left and right roof rails are installed correctly. I can see if one was not properly installed, the roof tabs
would not go into their proper slots on the rail, and then you are left with the roof off track. You might be able to retract the roof past the first stop
and reinstall rails... it this is the problem....

As the owner of two smart cabriolets, past and currently, I would say bite the bullet and,
" Take it to the professionals."
If you had a Mazda Miata whole different story. Simple, easy and cheap to work on. Smart convertable top on the other hand is the exact opposite, complicated, hard (two people needed at times) very intricate and in 'my opinion' expensive.
Good luck.
