Broke a wheel on the front of my 2008 smart -- beyond repair.

eBay vendors list wheels from 2009 to 2017.

Referring to fitment only -- and not to style -- is there any difference between '08 and '09?

My suspicion is that they are the same insofar as fitment is concerned but before I have one shipped, I sure would like to know that the wheel I get will fit.

FRONT wheel only. I'm in a bit of a bind so if you know, please respond soon.

9 spoke wheels were the standard wheel in the US from 2008 to 2011.

The 12 spoke wheels you describe were never an option here. They appear to be one of the standard wheels since 2007.

The wheels are different in design, though fitment is exactly the same.

My daughter destoryed a front wheel on our 2008. Ice and curbs don’t mix. I gave smart Madness a call. They sold me a used, take off wheel, they keep in stock. I believe it was about $130.00. Excellent condition. If you buy a new wheel. Remember to take the tire pressure monitor sensor, off the old rim. Use it on the replacement wheel. Check out Madness prices. If not search for salvage ones. Madness will not rip you off. They will sell you the correct 9 spoke wheel for the 2008 vehicle. Their service is excellent.

Good Luck.
