i am looking for the push-in-the-square hole yellow plastic screw anchors that are used in several locations to hold the belly pan tight. an internet search isn't much help except for the clips that hold the edge. one posting showed a parts breakdown of the belly pans and i think the square anchor was item 60, but no description.

anyone know what the part number is or where to get it. i know i can get them from MB but i'd rather not.

Bill figure #8 of the diagram. Your going to have to call up this site below to order them. They don’t have a parts number.

If you have the extra part, a lot auto parts stores carry parts. From the Help brand, that might work.

These guys have a lot of salvage smart car parts. Contact them too.

thanks, it's hard to tell what #8 is, it could be the side clips (or not)

way back when i bought the side anchors and the square anchors at the MB dealer (about 95 miles away), just want to get some more as i have used some when i was replacing the fuel pump and looking at the 2nd 09 underneath.

the ones on the left are easy to find (just bought 10 for about $9 on ebay); it's the right ones i'm looking for. license plate anchors might be the right size but i THINK they may be too large.

now that i know it is called a 'treenail', a google search finds a plethora of MB dealers that list it....:unsure:

Bill
one MB dealer wanted 79 cents for one and $22+ to send to Florida ($21+ to NYC) several others had an outrageous shipping charge, it was cheaper from europe...

i emailed my local MB dealer parts dept in Tampa and they haven't responded
