when i installed a pusher fan to replace OEM puller fan i had to remove the bumper bar, and i unplugged/replugged one of the airbag sensors in order to remove the bar.

now the airbag warning light is on. can i turn it off? if i can't turn it off, are the airbags still functional?

If any of the sensors or indicators in the airbag circuit are disconnected and the ignition is turned on, the airbag system will need to be reset with a MB Star Diagnostic or similar system. This includes the bumper sensors, seats, airbag connections, seat weight sensors, or the indicator lamp near the dome light.

thank you.... the nearest MB dealer is too far away, so i will have to 'live' without it.

I think a local well equipped body shop would have the software available to diagnose and turn off your airbag light light. Check around & also check some of the European car repair shops in your area.

again, thank you.... asking around, it appears every collision shop around here goes to a dealer to have anything of this sort done; no MB dealer close.
