Ok, this is my first post so be gentle. I live in florida and A/C is essitial to life. That said I bought My smart from a man that drove it in orange groves for $250.

The A/C switch works, gets 12v, and the blower motor works.

I have a friend that is an A/C and refridergation mechanic, for a trucking company. We hooked up, all his gauges, and the A/C system has good pressure, but not 150 pounds? ( read that on another post)

But when you turn the unit on the low pressure side doesn't drop at all. (someone else said it should drop to 30)

So my friend said the likely problem is the A/C low pressure cutoff switch. If any of you concure with that, then where is the switch located, I got the car on the lift this weekend and looked for the switch and could not see it anywhere under the car where should I look,

Need help folks.

If your low pressure side is the same as your high pressure side when it’s on and running it’s your expansion valve. Mine went out last summer it’s a $25 part but the whole front end needs to come off to change it
