Considering the scenario it is in remarkably good shape. Glad you are OK and have a new(er) smart to drive.

Not sure precisely what you mean by drag and drop. As in dragging a file from Windows Explorer to the SCoA composition box? Naww, that wouldn't work. How are you attempting to post photos?

If it's on a photo hosting site like Flikr, you should be able to click the
and paste in the URL of the image.

i try dragging files from my computer library "pictures" folder to the RED BAR where it says "DRAG FILES HERE TO ATTACH!" the picture loads in the bar, expands to full size, then VANISHES! the "insert image" works just as well. i used to post pics in my posts, something happened in the last few months :(

this is a technical issue with the website, it shows the upload, then blows it out. i use google chrome, maybe i should try IE?

trying IE now. IE I get a pop-up window that says : "crash1a.jpg:
Exceeds your quota by 163.9 KB"

the file upload window says I can post 10 MB JPEG files, the photo above was like 240KB, i'll reduce the file size more... seems like this might work...

I've never tried Chrome (and won't), and avoid IE like the plague. Odd you haven't considered Firefox. I haven't got a clue what red bar you're talking about. A Chrome thing, or maybe something in your OS which is different from mine?

It looks like you're trying to upload to SCoA. If so, that's the root of the problem, IMO.
If you want to go that route, try posting them to your SCoA Gallery first.

i actually have dual OS on this computer, windoze 7 PRO and linux mint 16, and that has firefox. i'll try uploading to the gallery first. i didn't have this problem before. the drag and drop says i have a file limit of 48.8KB, which is rediculous! the "insert image" says 10MBs!

i just took a SS of the RED BAR

Oh, I see now why your description left me clueless about a 'red bar'. I don't get that, since I'm using the SCoriginal skin. Unless you're using a mobile device, I highly recommend it. (bottom of every page in a drop-down list).

I have no limitations on size. Just for an example ...

SCoA should resize it to something like 640 pixels width for display, but the file is 540KB (1920x1920). If you right click on the image and choose 'view image', you'll see the original.

You probably didn't know what I was talking about with the
icon. Sorry about that. I forget that some people aren't using SCoriginal.

(Gosh, that sure is an ugly skin)

i'm using a 3 year old DELL I-5 3rd gen desktop (vostro) and have a 22" samsung 1920x1080 TV for a monitor, i see you pic as full sized. maybe i'll have to use firefox to post pics here. but the SCOA website says i have a 48.8KB limit. this website is as quirky as the car's transmission LOL.

Actually, I think you'll do better with any browser if you just change your skin to the SCoriginal. The new one appears to have been designed for hand held devices with tiny screens. Lord knows WHY it is the default skin, that's madness.

But, in any case, the file has to have a URL. The SCoA Gallery, or any photo hosting service can serve that purpose.
