Sorry, I won't be joining you: as a retiree I will do it during the week when it's not that crowded.
BTW: 62+ get a NPS Senior Pass.
America the Beautiful – National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass – Senior Pass

Cost: $10
Lifetime pass for U.S. citizens or permanent residents age 62+
Provides access to, and use of, all national parks and Federal recreation sites that charge an entrance/standard amenity fee
Pass may be used for passengers in a non-commercial vehicle (at vehicle entrances), or for pass holder plus 3 adults at per person fee areas
Provides a 50% discount on some amenity fees
Non-transferable and generally does not cover special recreation permit fees
Purchase: In person at the park.
It'll pay for itself with one single entry to the Skyline, or two visits to Great Falls... :D

Tomorrow is the day.

Remember to GAS UP before we start on skyline drive

Check your tire pressure, Brake fluid, coolant and oil
(always a good idea before heading out on any trip)

Make sure your camera if FULLY charged (and has space availabe)?

After departing SKYLINE at Swift Run Gap, I am planning on doing lunch at
C & S Diner in ELKTON, VA (about 7 miles from Swift Run Gap park entrance)

You are welcome to follow me there.

Then I will be taking I-81 north to I-66 to return to Northern Virginia.

I will have maps available for anyone that needs them
smart center to cracker barrel, cracker barrel to skyline, skyline to C&S diner, C&S Diner to smart center.

Final wrap up on the event

Well we had a great time
weather was good (mid 60's and sunny)
4 smarts (and one lotus) met at cracker barrel
Met a fellow smart owner (Andy from NY) at gas station, he has a yellow smart in a "Toy Hauler" RV Trailer.
If Andy is on this forum, please speak up and say hello

Another smart joined us once we got onto Skyline (total of 5)
Passed two more going the other direction (being towed behind RV's)

Thanks to all who participated.
Hope the rest of you can make it next year?

My pics are posted

Sorry I missed it, but the foliage in New Jersey was fantastic. I was up there for my 40th HS reunion and took pictures. Unfortunately the camera was set up for "fine" and each picture file is too big to upload.
