I've read online in a few places that if you turn on the ignition, double tap the left dashboard button, turn off the ignition, hold down the left button and turn the ignition on again and hold for 10 secs that the double wrench (or single wrench) maintenance reminder thing will reset and go away.

But I've tried it a dozen times at different speeds and it doesn't do anything except reset my trip counter.

Am I wrong in thinking this will work on my '11 Cabrio? Am I missing something?

Thanks!

It works you just have to get it right I tried 6 or 7 times lol. I found this video helpful if it doesn't work just go to YouTube and type in resetting smart car and look for the evilution.co.uk vid. Ya it's a UK car but it's the same.

God it took forever.... dozens and dozens of attempts, but it finally took. Seems like it *is* all about the timing.
