Hello Chris here, have a 2011 smart car that we purchased about 18 months ago, and with 33.5K miles on it the fuel pump went out. My mechanic fixed it for 750.00. But now i am nervous that more may go wrong and fixing them is pricey. However, having read some posts on this forum, it seems most cars are pretty reliable?

Feedback would be great

thank you

Welcome to SCoA! :) We also have a 2011, with around 54K miles on it. The smart is no more or less reliable than other cars, IMHO. Some people have had problems, others haven't. Cost of repairs varies a lot; DIY being less expensive, M-B dealer service (or comparable) being the most expensive. Do the regular maintenance and servicing, use at least 91 octane gas and your car should hold up just fine.
