My partner had a Kia Rio for 9 years and only had one problem with the car. As in, one problem...period. My mom has a Hyundai Sonata and not only has it been perfectly reliable, but it's also really big without feeling big, has a ton of features, gets great fuel economy, and was relatively cheap for the class of car it's in and the options it has.
I bought my granddaughter an 03 Rio when she graduated high school and was off to college.... I wanted her to have something dependable .... It has served her well ... and STILL does (It's now her and her husband's 2nd car )
