I am new to here so I am hoping someone has an answer. Just bought A 2012 and removed the 40 pin connector from the fuse box to find wires that operate turn signals and brake. to access it easier I removed the 12 v feed wire to it. reinstalled 40 pin block and 12 volt feed. Now the lock light is blinking red and car will not turn over. any Ideas?

Just googled mb star. Looks like you can download software. Has anyone done this and does it work?

Disconnect the battery first??...............

If you DIDN'T disconnect the battery, before disconnecting the wiring? I am sure it will require the stealership or someone
that owns an MB Star machine,to reset your car's electronics...................

Sounds like you tripped the immobilizer. I have a Star machine myself and I don't know how half the functions on it work. I just barely figured out how to adjust the clutch actuator through it. :)

You can download the software, but you're going to need a multiplexer and a laptop for this to work.

Oh and if the software has been poorly pirated it may not work correctly or damage your car, so get it from a reputable source.
