Hi all,
I several weeks ago, someone ran a stop sign and smashed into my 2015 Electric Smartcar, totalling it. I'm thinking of selling it for parts but have no idea what to charge. I'm in the SF Bay Area. What do folks think is a fair price?

Also, I bought a used electric 2016 yesterday. It seemed great but when I got it home I noticed that it charges very, very slowly. Is there something I can do to fix this?

Thank you!

It's hard to say. Only somebody who can hack the parts, can use them.

I agree, I guess I'm looking for a ballpark figure. Does $1500 sound too high/too low/reasonable?

The great majority of parts on a Smart ED are not digital software driven and are perfectly interchangeable with other smart ED's. I might be interested in the wheels myself.

And, I still find it a bit unbelievable that a used battery pack - among other electrical/electronic components - are not interchangeable with another Smart. Surely, the computer geeks at MB would not do something so idiotic. And if management ordered them to design it that way, they should have reported such a thing to the appropriate German consumer protection agency, or quit.
