That flat tow package will increase the worth for the right person. I thought the manual was not approved for flat tow, somethign about not cooling or lubricating when engine wasn't running - which I always thought was odd as it appears to have less frictin than the automatic woudl.

I agree the tow package is worth more if it's needed. I believe it's the other way around, the automatic is not recommended to be flat towed.

You would think so, but per jwight's link, only the automatic was approved. May just be they didn't test and don't want to accept liability on the manual.

According to the local dealer, and the flat tow kit manufacturer, and almost two years of using it, not issues yet!

That is good, and what I would expect in reality. Did the dealer ever provide any corresondence on that? It would be useful to many others here if documented.

No did not ask the dealer for any documentation, purchased all the required parts from etrailer.com.
