To all of the 2017 owners out there. I am flying to Florida from Boise on Monday to purchase a 17 cab & driving back 3k miles across country. Anything special I should know before setting out? i.e. is the gas gage setting correct. Had an 08 with 96k on it so am familiar with the old mode. Thanks

An excerpt from the 453 manual:

Notes on breaking-in a new vehicle

The first 1000 miles (1500 km)
The more you look after the engine when it is
new, the more satisfied you will be with its
performance in the future.
You should therefore drive at varying vehicle
and engine speeds for the first
1000 miles
(1500 km).
There's a lot more, but this part seemed pertinent since you may be driving it interstate for many days. Maybe this bolded part is implying to avoid using cruise control for long periods at a constant speed.

Enjoy your new 453 cabriolet!

That's right.

It's also suggesting taking the backroads and byways rather than the superslab. As a motorcyclist, I heartily endorse this route modification. :D
