i have seen several Smartys with the third brake lite not working.....mine as well. is this a perticular problem and is there a fix for it? I have put a new bulb in with no results
My bulb burned out. I switched to LED but was informed it was illegal. Bought a Brabus LED brake lamp, which is supposedly legal.[/QUOTE
Which state are u in ? PA has no requirement for type of bulb in a vehicle , other than the approved color for the location of the bulb ( i.e. Yellow for side markers and front turn signals (clear is also ok) red taillight , clear backup light )
CA. I think the LED made it not quite red, plus the effective luminous area was decreased. I'm red/green color blind (slight). I preferred a functioning light as opposed to a burned out propper color light, so I ignored the warning until I got the Brabus lamp.
the bulb did not work and i put an ohm meter on the bulb to test continuity....it was ok
