Hey guys, I just wanted to share this for anyone looking for original 450 parts. Chris Schreurs, Three Point Motors, [email protected], 250-385-1408. He has been a god send during my building the 05 450. He is willing to do the search and get the right parts every time. If you need some original 450 parts please give him a call.

I don't know if I can be of any help but I've been a motor factor & retailer (I think you call it a Jobber in the US) for over 40 years in the UK. I have a 2002 450 600cc & my wife has a 2005 700cc. My partner drives a 2014 Passion & has owned both petrol & diesel models for over ten years. He introduced us to Smart.

If I can help in anyway for hard to find parts please drop me a line & I'll give you my best attention.

Best regards
Mick

Original post for background:
I have a 2006 pulse with only 3000 miles on it. Great car but I noticed yesterday that only the outside headlight (there are two lights on each side, peanut style) on each side comes on and comes on when the car starts. The inside light will not come on under any circumstance. The light control arm has three positions and does not have any effect on the lights at all. Because the inside light doesn't come on the bright light control (Pushing the arm out or pulling it in) has no effect. I cannot find out if this model has the daytime driving light function, but I have gone thru the procedure to disable it i.e.: switch of the ignition, operate the headlight flashers, at the same time pressing the button on the car key that unlocks the door. That had no effect. I would have thought that if it was a fuse none of the lights would work. Current Status:
I put the car in the local shop that services the Smart and they determined the problem was in the lighting arm on the steering column and ordered a new one and replaced the old. It didn't fix the problem! They said that when the system was hooked up to their device (?) that everything worked fine but when taken off the device and attempted to use the lights the fuse blew every time. They are now telling me it is the SAM unit. So...can anyone tell me where I can get a SAM unit for the 2006 Pulse?
Again any help would be greatly appreciated!
