My 2008Passion Cabrio has unique electrical issues, and without an electrical schematic, I cannot troubleshoot them.
On the off-chance that someone also experienced these, here goes:
1. My alarm system will trigger occasionally for no reason. If this happens out of earshot, it kills the battery dead, dead, dead.
Checking for current draw from the battery when off only shows around 10 mA.
2. My radio is silent. I can select stations, and adjust the volume, but no sound comes out--at all! AM, FM, CD, Aux. all silent. It's unlikely that both speakers failed simultaneously, and I could find any wire damage behind the unit. No evidence of rodents, either.
3. My cabrio top fails to close fully on occasion. It closes, then pulls back a little. Or it just moves a little, then stops. What tells it that it is closed? A switch of some kind seems likely, but where is this sensor or switch?

I have a workaround from Kane: engage the Towing Override button after shutting off the engine, then lock the car with the fob. This disables the inside sensor and seems to have shut the alarm up and not drain the battery. Not a permanent solution; again, where is the inside sensor?

The alarm issue is usually due to the motion sensor under the console being mounted upside down. Many just use the workaround that Kane showed you. As for your radio, I would consider replacing it with an aftermarket unit. On your cabrio top issue, I would make sure the side rails are properly installed and latched. You may also want to clean the tracks and relube them. Hopefully, that will allow your top to function properly.
Thanks. How would the sensor flip over? 馃榿 What would happen if I unplug it?
